June 12th, 2010 – Lung Transplant Association Fundraiser

Photos: Lung Transplant Association Fundraiser
Location: Niagara Region
Story: My aunt Cathy and her friend Doug took the time out of their lives to raise money for the Lung Transplant Association. Doug recently had a double lung transplant; waiting for quite a long time for such. After all was said and done, Doug was ready to get out and ride the day of this run. The positive energy in the air and the people provided a perfect day for this fundraiser, and a great time to take photos. Thanks again to my aunt Cathy for asking me to shoot the event, I had a wonderful time. Can’t wait for next year!

June, How Dare You?

Where has the time gone? I know everyone says it but really, we’re in the month of June and that son of a b snuck up like a ninja ready to kill a fresh American businessman; fast! Things have been flowing rather well, and a lot of inquiries are coming in for shoots. Thanks to everyone telling their friends and family. Word of mouth is the best medium possible!

So I don’t really get to sit down much anymore, usually my day is spent driving, working, and sleeping/eating (I do one or the other. No time for both, unless I combine them somehow… anyway)

I am planning to start re-releasing old shows from years prior as different blog posts. I throw up a few memories of each night too, makes for some fun.

In the mean time, here are a few things Im working on:

April 28th, 2010 – The Wonder Years

Photos: The Boy and His Machine, This Time Next Year, The Wonder Years

Location: Mohawk Place, Buffalo NY

Story: I will be honest, I wasn’t completely stoked on this show. We were originally going to shoot Cannibal Corpse the same night, but crap fell through with that and Patrick from Rock The Walls radio show and I ended up driving over to Buffalo to catch this show. The Boy and His Machine and This Time Next Year started the night of well, and got the crowd luke warm. When The Wonder Years came on, I was surprised that the venue attendance had almost doubled? And people came out no where. The Wonder Years got through half of the first song and there was already 2 people stage diving and crowd surfing? I’m not complaining, just surprised (pleasantly). The Wonder Years killed it. Kudos Buffalo, kudos.

April 20th, 2010 – The Flatliners

Photos: The Flatliners

Location: L3 Nightclub, St.Catharines ON

Story:

Spent time with a lot of friends and some wicked dudes. The Flatliners tore it up, and they played a lot of their new album which is a very good thing because it’s so good. Definately check out their new record!

March 15th, 2010 – Every Time I Die

Photos: Polar Bear Club, Four Year Strong, Every Time I Die

Location: Kitchener ON

Story:

I was looking forward to this show as soon as my friend Patrick from Rock The Walls radio show asked me to shoot it. I honestly admit that my maleĀ genitalia moved a little when we arrived, that’s how excited I was. Once the first band got done (can’t remember the name, probably because they weren’t very good.) Polar Bear Club launched on stage and got everything nice and ready for the rest of what would be a head smashing night. Four Year Strong killed it, to the point where during their Third Eye Blind cover they stopped playing because some douche in the crowd started beating on some other dude. F that dude. They didn’t play the rest of the song (I was uber-pissed) and then Every Time I Die came on and the rest was history.
